REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY CANDIDATES SANFORD, WALSH, AND WELD CONFIRMED FOR POLITICON

Additional updates to Politicon program include more than 20 news names and Baby Trump Balloon

Politicon, the “Unconventional Political Convention,” announced today that 2020 Presidential candidates Gov. Mark Sanford, Rep. Joe Walsh and Gov. Bill Weld will join this year’s event for a conversation on the 2020 campaign to make their case. The talk will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26. More information can be found here.

This year will bring back Politicon staples like Baby Trump, while also featuring new installations at the convention like the Tennessee Advocates for Planned ParenthoodTiny Pricks Projectand the Common Ground: Immigration exhibit. Attendees will have the opportunity to not only view – but participate in and engage with many of the onsite exhibitors. Full list of 2019 exhibitors can be found here.

In addition to previously announced attendees, including Al Franken,James Comey, Sean Hannity, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Politicon is excited to announce Anthony Atamanuik and James Adomian have been added for a “Trump v. Bernie Debate.”  Atamanuik is best known for his role as the host/President Trump on Comedy Central’s “The President Tour” and together they make up the comedy duo “Trump and Bernie” whose work spans across the many media of television, radio and a vinyl album.

This year serves as the 5th annual Politicon and will take place on Saturday, October 26 & Sunday, October 27 at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN. Over the two days, participants will have the chance to witness and engage with top political thinkers in debates, panel discussions, radio and TV broadcasts, live podcast recordings, book signings, interviews, meet-and-greets and more.
